Celeteque Acne Solutions Review Day 1

Hi guys! As I told you yday, I got some samples of the Celeteque Acne Solutions from Watsons yesterday and I tried them last night and earlier today.

So far I've noticed that my active breakouts really dried up. A good sign right? Another plus is that I noticed that my skin wasn't that oily today unlike when I was with my previous regimen.

This line showed me promising results and I'm really loking forward to the results after 3-5 days of testing this skin care line.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and keeping all my hopes up for these products. :)

I apologize for not being able to take before and after photos but I'll just keep this blog updated. :)

I'm Alive!!!

Haha! I think it has been 2 months since I last posted something here.. I have been CRAZY BUSY with work and school hence my MIA in my blog.

Anyhow, the sem is almost over. We are literally down to our last days for this sem and my subjects are over! :)

Today, I finally managed to go out with my boyfriend. We've been together for over a year now and I'm just so thankful that he understands my crazy busy sched.

Here's a photo of us just so you have an idea how he looks like. :)

So today, we heard mass at 9:30 am in Market! Market! The homily was about being thankful for everything that you had, have and will have. It just feels so good to listen to Father Michael's homily. :)

We had lunch in Seafood Island because boyfie was craving for squid. We ordered a meal for 2 called Surf n' Turf. I like the feel and vibe of this place. I spells out luau all over! Look at these lamps.. :)

After having lunch, we watched a movie called "Gravity". It's about 2 astronauts Clooney and Bullock who encountered major mission fail and one of them managed to come back home in one piece and the other unfortunately didn't. It was nice. I used to want to be an astronaut when I was young but after seeing this movie, I'm glad that I ended up as an English Major insntead. :) haha!

It's still around 2 months before Christmas but mi love already gave me my Christmas present. He knows how much on-the-go internet connection means to me and having an android smart phone with unlimited data plan can be a pain in the ass sometimes so he got me my own 4600 mah power bank. How sweet. ♥

Moving on to beauty/skin care, I have been suffering from terrible skin breakouts lately. It could be stress, hormones, the new powder I used, pollution, diet, etc... I found myself infront of the Celeteque Counter then the sales lady advised me to try their spot treatment thing. I agreed for 2 reasons. 1st, it wasn't that pricey, it's less than 170 Php. 2nd reason? I'm terribly broken out that I know I badly need any spot treatment. To my surprise, she also gave me sample sizes of the cleanser and moisturizer! Yay!!!

That's about it for today. :) Time to go to bed..

My First MAC Lippie ♥

"Color plus texture for the lips that made M.A.C. famous. A trio of limited-edition shades created by Rihanna all in Retro Matte finishes - the cool red of RiRi Woo, the vivid lavender of RiRi Boy and the matte berry of Heaux." This is what I got when I looked up the RiRi Lipstick Collection of MAC.

When I Googled how the shades look like, I right away fell in love with RiRi Woo!

Now what does Retro Matte mean? According to what I've researched, and based on experience, Retro Matte has a drier formula. It is more stiff and using a lip brush would be a good idea when you apply it. (The photos above are from the MAC Website.)

I haven't been a fan of matte lipsticks until lately so I really wanted to get my hands on this baby! One night while browsing facebook, I stumbled upon an online seller who has it on hand, meaning, I wouldn't have to wait for 2-3 weeks to get it shipped from the US to the Philippines! I got really excited an contacted the online store right away, sent my order form, sent the payment and got it after a few days!!

Hiro and Donna's Birthday Celebration at The Sizzlin' Pepper Steak

My good friend Hiro celebrated his believe it or not 23rd birthday with me, Liz, and Donna at The Sizzlin' Pepper Steak in The Atrium Megamall on Sunday, September 1, 2013. We thought there would be 5 of us celebrating but only 4 showed up.

Donna, who celebrated her 24th birthday last July also thought celebrating with Hiro and helping him with the bill. We had an instant double birthday celebration!!

The food was great, they say it is good for 4 but I think it can be shared by 6. I was supposed to take lots of pictures but my phone was dead the whole time.

Spending quality time with these people never fail to make me happy. I love them to bits and pieces and I surely wish our birthday boy and girl more blessings, good health, money and love to come!! ♥♥♥

Here are some photos from yesterday. :)

July loves and hates

Hi world! It’s almost halfway August and I still haven’t updated this blog with my July favourites and “unfavourites” yet. Well with that being said, here are the items that I bought, liked and disliked for last month. J Let’s begin with my favourites.

Core Collection Buffing Brush (888Php/set)
  • It’s not so dense so it’s good for pressed powder application.
  • It looks POSH! I like the packaging and the colour of the handle.
  • The bristles are oh so soft!!

  Core Collection Contour Brush (888Php/set)
  • I like how dome shaped it is and the size is just right four contouring.
  • Just like the Buffing Brush, it looks POSH! :P
  • And the bristles, oh the bristles… J

Wet n’ Wild Matte Lipstick in 24 Carrot Gold and Sugar Plum Fairy (148Php/lipstick)
  • I love the colour pay off and how it brightens up my face.
  • I like how cheap it is.
*to be continued

hidden treasures.. haha!

I was browsing some folders on my desktop and I stumbled upon this folder full of videos from my phones from before and now. Fist is a video taken at Liz's birthday celebration in North Park in Market Market. I forgot the exact date when this video was taken but forgive me for the poor video quality. I took this using a really old LG Phone.

The others videos are still to be uploaded in youtube and I'd paste them all here. :)

"Crazy till we're in our 80's" ♥♥♥

I had Saturday classes today! After class my two peppermints went to the mall to eat out (like we usually do every after class) and supposedly get a mani-pedi-spa sesh..

We ate in Army Navy and had this fun-fun-fun moment there.

Liz: Ano yan? (Hiro's drink)
Me: Milkshake
Liz and Me: "My milkshake brings all the boys in the yard..."
Hiro: Mga walang hiya kayo! "It's better than yours!"
All three of us: BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I have been spending the past 7 years of my life with these two and some other crazy people. I have to say, even if none of us bagged the coveted "Cum Laude" title way back in college, I'm still grateful that I came across these crazies whom I know will be with me till the end.

Just like what we always say.. "Crazy till we're in our 80's" ♥♥♥

real techniques core collection and wet n wild matte lipsticks

I've done online purchases in the past but I have somehiw stopped for many reasons, like time, budget etc. Then just recently, I came accross with an online store selling wet n wild lippies in in the colors that I love, not to mention at a very good rate as well.

I purchased two lippies from the store. An orange one with the name 24 Carrot Gold and one in Sugar Plum Fairy obviously a plum shaded lipstick.

I'm not a fan of matte lipsticks but I'm loving these matte babies.. :)  I'll do individual reviews for them and upload swatches as well in the next few weeks. :)

Apart from the lipsticks, I also grabbed a set of brushes. It actually is my first set. It's the Real Techniques Core Collection. It has 4 brushes in the set, 2 bigger ones and 2 smaller ones. Just like the lippies, I'll do a more detailed review for the brushes soon as well..

Here's my first pic of them when  they arrived. Thanks again to The Primp Pad!

annoying!!

I love watching YouTube videos and subscribing to the ones that I really like. A few hours ago, I commented on a video and then a few minutes later, I received this email.
After reading this, I just felt a little annoyed. Is this her way of getting subscribers? I a very good strategy for me. Tsktsktsk. Those damn posers.

Fashion 21 Double Up Mascara Review

“Lashes instantly up to two times longer, stronger.” That's what this mascara claims to give. I picked this mascara up from the Fashion 21 counter for 225 Php in Market! Market! Taguig today because my Maybelline Volume express one started to dry up and clump on several instances. I first heard of this from Say Tioco, a youtube guru and she said nothing but good stuff about this mascara so I gave it a try.

The packaging is simple. It comes in a sleek red container and that's it, very simple. What noticed different though was the wand. Unlike my favorite Maybelline mascara, it wasn't curved. It was just straight and the bristles are not as much as what the Maybelline has. This has shorter and stiffer bristles. The sales lady confirmed that it was water proof but that's one thing I would have to find out for myself. And I think it only comes in color black.

As for my first reaction after applying one coat of it, I was AMAZED! I was fortunate enough to have long and not so thick but definitely not sparse eyelashes and with just one coat of it, my lashes looked even longer! It also has a clean finish, it doesn't smudge nor clump and it does a great job with the lower lashes as well.

I've just noticed that this mascara tends to weigh down my lashes and it doesn't do well in holding up the curl.

I must say, I am very picky when it comes to mascaras and I really wasn’t that much adventurous with it. I tend to stick to what works for me and for these past few years it had always been Maybelline. I now have a new favorite as of the moment.

Will I repurchase it? Definitely yes! Do I recommend it? Another YES!
